AES offers a number of optional services that can be
requested at time of dispatch. An additional fee is applicable and is
calculated by the schedule below.
COD Shipments
COD charges vary per carrier. Fee will be calculated at time of pick up.
Hazardous Materials
Hazardous materials have stringent packaging and labeling requirements and
are assessed an additional $15.00 per shipment.
Hydraulic Liftgate Service
Hydraulic lift gates, or mechanical lifting or lowering devices for loading
or unloading can be arranged. A minimum charge of $100.00 ($6.50 / cwt) for
each shipment applies against the party for whom the service is performed
or guaranteed by the shipper.
Inside Delivery
Shipments moving to or from positions not immediately adjacent to the rear
of the vehicle are available at a charge of $5.00 cwt subject to a minimum
charge of $58.50 and a maximum charge of $200.00 per shipment.
Request for delivery appointment
An appointment time for delivery of a shipment can be arranged for a charge
of $30.00 per shipment.
Reconsignment
When a reconsignment prior to the carrier tendering the shipment for
delivery results in a change of name of consignee or the address a
reconsignment charge of $4.75 cwt subject to a minimum charge of $35.00
applies for all shipments .
Redelivery
After the original attempt to deliver a shipment, additional attempts to
redeliver the shipment will be made, but subject to a minimum charge of $57.00.
The consignee may elect to pick up the shipment at the carrier’s terminal
in lieu of the carrier attempting redelivery, subject to an additional
charge of $20.00.
Residential Delivery
Available for pick up or delivery at a private residence or non commercial
location as follows:
• $63.00 for shipments
